If you want to get off the line quickly without bulk revs (ie above 4500 rpm) then I wouldn't go a lightened flywheel, you're car will bog. As for the pressure plate, when you buy the excedy kits, they come with a pressure plate, a clutch plate and a thrust bearing. All you need is the spidgot(sp??) bearing. I've gone down this route and have no regrets.

The only real way to get off the line quick
1. Strong box IE Hollinger 2. Exedy twin plate clutch 3. Billet drive shafts 4. Motec Launch Control, set to dial up 2.0 bar of boost whilst stationary 5. full drag slicks Pop the clutch, hang on |

Have been using Exedy Brass button clutch, with 200 kw atw, 5500 rpm launch, stock sti 00 gearbox... Without any worry at all, It's all depends on how good is the driver.

Hey Guys,
Just to clarify what is included in our clutch kits. 1. Clutch Kit inc - upgrade to 2500lb pressure plate , new organic clutch plate, new thrust bearing, new spigot bearing and machining of existing flywheel. 2. Fitting Please bear in mind that cost can be higher depending on condition of your original pressure plate & f/wheel. Cheers Abdus |
