I was told GC8's need different brackets to fit 01+ top mounts ?

Correct me if wrong?

yeah, you will neet the brackets from the new tmic to fit onto a gc8, the passenger side one will need a slotted hole too & rotated towards the guard, it sounds harder than it actually is to do , you will also need the bov from the new cooler and some new hose if you want to go plumback, if you want to go gfb bov you will need to make some small tabs to move your coilpack towards the front of the car

yeah, i'm running a unichip too, they're not bad with a stock engine and bolt on mods, tim slako (west racing in ozzy park) will fit and tune one for around $550 and you can usually pick them up with the electronic boost module for around $300-$350, so looking at around $900 total and you will be tuned for your new mods, you may aswell throw a turbo on there whilst you're at it to get a bit more out of it
