Default Fuel Pump install problems

Hi guys sorry to be a pain,
Ive just brought a Walbro style GSS341 fuel pump which was recomended
for my 97 mod WRX. Ive just taken the old one out to fit the new one but im
confused over the wiring situation. The new pump only has a red/black wire direct from a plastic clip & the original has bolt on type clips & 4 wires 2 blue & 2 blck. Sorry to sound stupid but can anyone help me. Ive replaced stock pumps b4 but i thought id try a more performance pump & now im stuck ? Has anyone fitted one of thease to a 96/96 rex.

You need to get down to Automotive Service Solutions in Osborne Park, and buy the matching Walbro wiring harness for it....can't remember the price but its less than $20.

It plugs straight into everything.

Not sure what the GSS341 looks like....it is a 255lph pump, but the correct 255lph pump for subaru`s is GSS342.

Post a pic...

both the 341 and 342 are the same pump
the difference is the positioning of the intake nozzle.
I think the 341 intake nozzle is rotated 180 degrees in position compared to the 342

Edit: I think it may be the outlet nozzle. I cant remember. But you can make either pump work fine in a WRX. As Joe said. get the walbro wiring plugs. then just plug and play.

Cheers guys i will be off to Automotive solutions to buy the wiring harness. Mister Two is right the 341 & 342 are the same pump but the intake/outake is rotated. Man i wish i just got the 342 to save all thease hassles. when i search a couple of fuel pump sites they recomended the 341 for 89-93 rs libs & 94-00 wrx & the 342 for 02-05 wrx & sti. I should have just asked you guys. Thanks for the info guys. Cheers Aaron

Doesn't matter if you got the 341 or 342, they both fit no worries
