Well, i'll pass the add on to you guys for anyone that's interested.
set of 4 tyres 215/45/17 $300 as new | Car Wheels, Tyres & Rims | Gumtree Thornlie

Thanks for your help.
Wow.

This is a good reason why to do research on 'cheap' tyres.

1. They are snow tyres. (great for all the snow we have *cough*)
2. They are Q rated - i.e. max speed of 160kmh
3. They are 87 load rated - I'm sure a WRX needs 91 or higher

quoted for absolute accuracy and def are not suited to your car

lol. Yeah cheers guys. I did a bit of research after the first couple of responses. Don't worry, I'm steering clear of them. Thanks for the correction, 225/45/R17**

Grip is fine for a street tyre. I haven't pushed them full tilt, but yet to find the limit for death.

I'd guess they would sit just under the RE001's in dry performance, but the wet performance is brilliant. The noise reduction in the cabin is the biggest thing I love though.

Also Ledger runs them on his C63, therefore my car is nearly a C63
