Another clutch thread
Hey guys
Today i was stationary at the lights. Clutch was in, I put some extra weight onto the clutch pedal and all of a sudden I hear a loud clunk. Thinking wtf? I take my foot off the clutch slightly and stall it. So i restart and the clutch is about 1/4 of the size it was before and soft, the release point is just about on the floor. Now what have i done? Pressure plate - Master slave cyclinder?? I drove it home but very hard to select gears like the clutch was not engaging. Ideas? Anyone know of somewhere open tomorrow? Being a long weekend looks like I wont be able to get someone to look at it till tues No more pwrx cruise Cars a 2000 WRX Cheers Todd |

When my clutch started slipping, wouldnt select gears, VERY notchy and was felt like it lost 3/4 of its pressure it was actually what i was told to be a "finger" on the clutch that may have snapped off. It was replaced with a new clutch and it was fixed.

Problem solved! Bolt on the clutch master cylinder was slipping when i put the clutch in. Took it off added some thread lock and now it doesnt slip. Clutch feels normal. Hopefully it will hold = Happy days |
