Have a quick search, its a pretty common swap and well worth the effort. But I believe you may need to get a GD clutch fluid res as well or chop down your existing GC8 one to make it fit

Ok, Yeah i tried to run a search and i couldn't find much. I'll try again!! So from what you know does the intercooler not fit because the resovoir is too high/clearance issue. Or does the intercooler hit it from the side/Length issue.

Just that the engine is currently out of the car and until i drop the engine in i'm not going to be able to tell. Thanks for the input, i know someone off Perth WRX has done this mod before. Be good to hear from them exactly what i need to do.

Regards Brendan

Also has anyone got any tips on how i can get the best results out of my splitter. I realise that the standard GC8 one will be suited for a the smaller intercooler. Can i get a straight replacement that will suit the application. I wonder if the Tenagah splitter for the process west IC would do the trick. Not too sure if the sell them individually though.

You can order just the splitter from Kev at ProcessWest, so im sure that Tenegah could get one in for you.

The DIY link was perfect dude!!, Cheers for that. Does anyone know if the intercoolers changed much from 04 STI, to the 08 STI models. I also thought the STI Y pipe was ok but they seem to think the Samco Silicone is the way to go.

Um, i think the STI8, is refering to the STI verion 8, not the 2008 model.
also, the article was written in September 2007, so before the 2008 model STI was released...

i think the version 8 is rougly a 2002 model? someone correct me if im wrong.

Steve.
