sorry this is gonna sound so noob, but in what way does a lightened flywheel improve performance. is because the flywheel can spin faster due to less weight? etc
i am happy with the power my engines making, i am now interested in exploring options for faster accerleration (ie lightening flywheel, changing final ratios)

Exactly right. With reduced mass, it takes less time for the engine to rev up.

Due to the way many dynos work, this can also give an increase in measured power, but this is not the case.

Hey guys, can someone who is registered on the forum do me a favour and ask the guy selling the lightened flywheel for his email address, or give him my email address (listed under my profile)? I am interested in it, but can't post on the other forum. I signed up on Friday morning, but still get messages saying that I don't have permission to post or PM anyone because a moderator hasn't given me access yet I have even sent multiple emails to the forum administrator to try to get access, but still don't have permission to do anything

Cheers,
Graeme

Did you read my post? I can't because I don't have permission. I can't post in the thread or PM anyone. I have sent emails to the forum admins trying to get access, but they haven't replied. I was going to set up another account, but you can only have one registered to your email address and you can't use Yahoo or Hotmail addresses to register. Even if I did set up another one I don't think it would help unless my other one somehow got ignored or lost or something
