Heat wrap tape is hell cheap. Might just wrap for now as funds are needed on other projects first.

but I spose anti lag does make them get a tad warm! I have had 1 plastic undertray and parts of the frame on the drivers side thermo fan suffer a bit of heat distortion. I did not wrap mine aswell, I am not a huge fan of the wrap, I have seen it fall apart many times on manifolds. I used the roll of wrap that came with my headers on the dump pipe.

Ceramic coating is the way to go. It looks so much nicer and is alot easier to see the condition of the headers, like any cracks or corrosion.
I have ceramic coated UEL headers and also used the head wrap that came with the headers on the dump pipe. I'm glad I coated mine instead of wrapping because the plastic undertray is very close to the headers just before the collector, if I had used wrap, the wrap would easily be pressing on the undertray and would most likely melt it. But as I said earlier, that is with the UEL headers, so EL might be ok. |

Reflexwrx,
I'm running equal length Twin Scroll Spec C Headers, and as Tuna said - its a clean crisp sound with just a touch of boxer burble still left. I've given up on the whole attention seeking loud exhaust thing and just wanted the shortest spool time possible with my twin scroll setup. Thumbs up for CIC in Kelmscott - did that to my headers and Turbo exhaust housing as well. I also have a spare complete roll of header / exhaust wrap here if your looking for some. Should be fairly cheap. J

WRXTASY, I will get my headers ceramic coated later and wrap for them for now. How many meters of the wrap do you have? I would be keen to grab it if possible.

i've heard bad things from only wrapping them as it keeps the heat in the header pipes themselves compared to when you ceramic coat them inside & out it keeps the heat inside the pipes
hope that makes sense better explain here: http://www.centuryperformance.com/ex...e-spg-138.html |

Maybe I won't wrap them then. So much contradicting information out there. I'll wait till I have the cash to ceramic coat them.
