Default HSD Coilovers

Hello

Im thinking of going for HSD HR coilovers for my Forester.

I know they can go super low, but all Im looking for is just 10-30mm drop from stock wrx height or even just leave it at wrx height...honestly, I think I'll miss being able to climb curbs with ease hahaha...

But yeh, thats besides the point, I want to take me fozz out onto the track, so if you guys have any experience with this product on the track it'll be greatly appreciated

Plus for the guys who are running HSDs what spring rates are u guys using? I know that it'll be different for both cars but I just want to know if theyre alright for everyday driving as well. I was thinking of going 8kg fronts and 7kg rears.

I know Balistic sells them so if you read this Balistic can u please let me know if you have any stock of HR coilovers for GDB that can fit into the Forester.

Cheers guys

Hey mate,

Can get HRs any time...I'm running 8kg in front and 7kg in rear of mine. I'd be lying if I said they were outright comfortable (compared to stock, or just fitting springs), but as far as coilovers go...they are COMFORTABLE coilovers.

For a forester that is also your daily, i suggest not going 8kg/7kg combo as you will feel every bump that exist in our wonderful perth roads

Im running 6Kg front and 5Kg rear springs in my HSD HR coilovers. Feels barely any stiffer than standard STI struts and springs

I have coilovers in my foz and i think they spring rates are more like 7 front 5 rear. Thats really comfortable and if i was tracking it more i would probably go slightly stiffer. Just remember that the tiffer you go the more taily it gets. Which isnt good for track.

By the way, do the rear struts have adjustable camber plates as well? If they don't, then can you buy different aftermarket adjustable camber plates and fit them onto the HSDs?
