hey guys just a general question , will extractors have any effect on the overall sound of any subaru from a wrx to the basic rx

just had the question on my mind

Depends on the type. On a turbo Subi the equal length ones will mostly get rid of the boxer rumble. Unequal length aftermarket ones will retain it but I have found mine have lessened it slightly. I'm not sure what effect they would have on a non-turbo motor sound as they are totally different exhaust manifold designs. I have heard some N/A subis sounding good with aftermarket exhausts though.
