Default park Light Staying On

My park light is staying on constantly does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem. It did it years ago then stopped, now it has decided to come back but this time the rear park light on the opposite side has started.

Let me get you attention..... You are going to love the conclusion to this one.... It WAS the switch on the top of the steering column Bahahahaha. Retardation!!!! I have just done an engine conversion but I can't figure that one out haha. I have a good excuse though, I haven't been driving the car for over 8 months and this is the first time the battery has been hooked up for a long time. Enough of my excuses bring on the abuse!!!
