i want to put a front mount on my wrx gc8 and was wondering if my turbo (ih vf30) is going to be big enough intercooler size is 600-300

size of intercooler isn't a big deal mate, 600x300 is just a common size, it fits well and you don't have to worry about trying to get things made custom etc.

VF30 has enough flow to utilise a front mount well, so go for it

People will tell you and you may feel a difference in throttle response... but overall better power due to colder air temps is what you get in opposition to it
