Talking Install: Apexi Boost and Exhuast Temp Gauges

Greetings fellow autophiles, im about to embark on a mission to install 1x Apexi Boost and 1x Apexi Exhaust Temp Guage on my 01 WRX.

I've never done this before and wondered if anyone would be able to link me to a good step-by-step guage installation guide (with large pictures )

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

N.B: If pictures are needed to better inform you of the model and type of gauges referred to above are needed please let me know

do you have a bung in the exhaust where you can install the temp sensor?

You will need to weld the threaded bung into the exhaust, the boost pressure is easy enough to pick up, electrically you will need ignition, illumination and ground, but what are you doing about mounting the gauges?

That will mean no then. You will need to go to an exhaust shop or somewhere that does gauge installs to have a threaded bung welded in to your exhaust.

I can handle that myself, I assume you're talking about welding a nut with the same thread pattern as the exhaust sensor to a location on my exhaust and going from there?

Does anyone have knowledge of a play by play tutorial with images that I can use as a guide though (for both gauges)?

its simple mate, just do a search for boost gauge diy and exhaust temp diy.

boost gauge simply tees off one of the hoses off the intake manifold, and as previously stated, exhaust temp screws into exhaust. then you just have to stick the hoses through the firewall and up the pillar to your mount....
