Default Gearbox Socket T-70. Where to find?

G'day guys, wanting to change my manual gearbox oil but the newer subies have a T-70 torx fitting. I've tried Toolmart, repco, coventrys and subaru but have had no luck. Any ideas? Cheers, Chris.

Try online shops/other forums or even gearbox/clutch places (a few in Osbourne park). Just did a quick search on google to see exactly what a 'T-70 torx fitting' looked like, and a few american online shops came up.
You tried Subaru with no luck? Surely they have them, but probally just dont sell them, or else how are they ment to do g/b oil changes when servicing cars?

Subaru dont sell any tools apparently. They get theirs direct from Spx. Will probably just phone and order from them if i cant find one locally.

My thoughts exactly

this is the one.

Ring your local rep. Lifetime warranty can either pick it up this afternoon or very rarely on a saturday morning.

Thanks guys, very helpful.
For those that may not be aware, this is only needed for post 2003 5 speed and auto trans drain plug. I think the STI models retained the old sump plug style.

same problem
any shop I can buy cheap from in Perth tomorrow if possible?
can't justify $70 from Snap-on for something I will hardly ever use.
If not I'll have to put back the TMIC and ebay it

I got mine off the toolchest guy listed above.
He delivered it to my work the next day and I
think it only cost me $20 or $30 bucks, can't
remember the exact cost.
