Default HID Ballast - How do you secure yours?

Just want some opinions / pics would be great of how you have your HID ballast secured.

At the moment mine is just cable tied but I want to properly secure it. Are brackets the way to go?

I have a MY02 STI and as said, pics would be great if you can be arsed taking and uploading.

Thanks
Jason

I have 2 sets (High & Low beam) cable tied behind the Bumper/front qtr panel, have not had a issue for nearly 4 years.

my ballasts recently started being a worry for me, as i purchased a vented cf bonnet. i went to DSE, spent ~$30 on little black electrics boxes, spent 10 minutes with a drill, a few cable ties, and the end result is water tight ballasts.
i keep mine in the fog light spaces, as its out of sight of people looking into your bonnet space from above, i.e. police looking for aftermarket mods that stand out as most dont have a clue.
if you wanted to, you could screw/bolt/cable tie the plastic box anywhere, and it doesnt rattle around as you can pack the inside of the boxes with foam or whatever you like

Edit: thats both high and low beam ballasts in the same box either side.

I have factory JDM STi HID's in my bug eye, and I mounted the OEM ballasts to the factory sheetmetal in the void under the headlight with some 3M double sided tape. Keeps it very secure, dry and safe.

The ballasts came with some brackets but I could not for the life of me work out where they bolted to, so if anyone knows where an OEM ballast mounts to on a bug eye, let me know!

Thought they are mounted to the bottom of headlight housing.

Pretty sure the orange cables are coming from the ballast.

Yep, oem ballasts should bolt into the provision under headlight itself. I rewired both headlights for mine using oem bits, and bolted up no worries (pig headlights but assume thought process to be the same)

electrical box in spot light void is a great aftermarket mounting area - nice work.
