Default Cel - p0037

Equals P0037 - Rear O2 Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low.

Has anyone got a spare rear 02 sensor? This is the second time i have had to replace this sensor, not sure why it dies so easily.

Doesn't appear to effect driving in the least. I have no cat in the up-pipe, but believe my exhaust has a cat in it in the mid-section.

ASG replaced it about 15k/km ago. Reset the code on the weekend (cheers doug) but returns promptly.

Cheers

put a resistor across the circuit to cancel the cel.

Yeah i've done a resistor mod already to cancel the CEL caused by removing the cat from the up-pipe when i changed the exhaust system.

Not even sure if this sensor actually does anything anymore having had a Verso reflash.

When my 02 sensor went, i was told to disconnect it and drive around. It felt ALOT better straight away. I was also instructed that i did not need it as some dump pipes dont even allow for it to be screwed in. I assume this is your sensor you are talking about? On the dump, or the uppipe?

I went to repco and got a universal one and replaced it. Havnt had a problem on cold starts for a while. I would normally feel a surge when it was cold.

Is this the correct rear 02 Sensor for a MY01?

Unsure how the 02 sensors operate on a MY01, however i do know the one from the up-pipe has been removed, and running a transistor to trick the ECU.

The one i am talking about is further along, possibly in the mid-section of the exhaust somewhere.

Hmmm your 02 sensor will be anywhere from the dump pipe to the cat. I guess the 02 sensors would work the same as the gc8.

Or otherwise,a bit of speculation, maybe it would throw a CEL if one sensor was reading one thing in the up-pipe and the other sensor had failed? So the 2 values were not within limits of each other. Only reason i say this is my gc8 never threw a CEL without the 02 sensor connected.
