Default 207 Vs lazy 255

Hi All,

Im sure most of us have thought about it at some stage, im considering swapping out my 205 engine for something bigger and better for my GC8.
I would like some off boost reponse and more torque

i know the 2.5L donks are known to be weak when run in high boost situations, but what about running them in stock form with a few PSI boost increase?

im considering putting a 2.5L into my GC8 with a 6 speed box. has anyone here done this?
what sorta power does a 2.5 put out in stock form?

Do you guys recon it would be a worthwhile swap?
or too much effort for little gain?

Cheers, Steve.

207 and rev it, the 2.5's suffer from too much friction.

2.5L is fine, just don't push more than 1.2 bar from your typical vf series turbo, which means get the 207 and smash it in

Im not after massive power (but i wouldnt say no to it) i would like response and good performance throughout the rev range.

The 2.5 would be fine for your application...plus they have a good amount of torque.
