Default Grinding Brake sounds

The prev owner replaced front brakes and machined the rotors with Subaru dealer at its 2.5yr(62.5K) service about 5mths ago, so Im not sure if this is normal or needs to be checked.

Is this normal for stock brakes?, when breaking at slow speed, the front brakes make a grinding noise which Im not sure is uneven wear, grit on surfaces or normal stock pad friction

Any feedback appreciated.

I think I shouldn't call it grinding as such, more of a noticeable friction that can be heard between pad and rotor ?

I know a few people that have worn out a set of front pads in a few months. Might be worth checking them for wear.

can happen quite quickly too especially if its raining, does it just grind the first time you use the brakes or all the time?

Seems to grind all the time, but only noticeable when slowing from 20km/h ? or applying brakes on my downhill driveway.
Friend advised that performance brakes sound noisy like this, but I didnt suspect stock subie brakes would as well.

Theres a beaurepairs close by; think they should be able to quickly diagnose and do a wheel alignment check for me at the same time ?

I can hear it from both sides at the front. Hope they aren't damaged, might get the beaurepair guys to jack it up and check it out and get a wheel alignment check done. I don't have time to send it over to Subaru dealer shop at the moment, though I might call them and speak to a service rep whether this is normal after the work that was done not long ago.
