Default Engine mounts

Well since the engine has to be taken out the car i was thinking that it would be a good idea to upgrade engine and gearbox mounts.

Suggestions of types? i hear the choice is really between cusco and sti grp N mounts..

Anyone got prices of them and places to get them abroad and within australia..

Cusco would be better than the "factory" STi engine mounts I believe.

Group N cheap price

Cusco

I have the subaru "safari" mounts, they are much stronger than the group n mounts, not the best for nvh though. They are fairly expensive compared to the group n mounts, if I remember correctly it was about $7-750 for the engine mounts and brackets (landed from japan parts)

but why stop with the engine mounts?

+ the sti heavy duty transmision mount + plus the heavy duty cushion rubbers that go between the various parts of the transmission crossmember + the heavy duty rubber that supports the gear change lever assembly (where it mounts to the underside of the tunnel) + the pitching rod + the rear crossmember mounts + the rear diff mount + + +

It gets out of control, you think well ok I've changed the engines mounts and ...
so I really should do this and that too and blah, blah, blah...
before you know it you have spent well over $1k closer to $2k, just on mounts and bushes.

but I don't need to tell you how it goes.

^^^^

Do you have any spare mounts in your collection??

All i was looking at doing was the main gearbox mount, pitch mount and gearbox mounts on either side.. It does get out of hand but i dont think its neccessary to go to that extent..
