Yeah i get ya.

Guy on rexnet got 300kw atws with ported and polished my99 heads and standard valves although its built motor with cams etc.

Guys over east seem to be getting good results with 3071/76s.

Still undecided just trying to work out if its worth modding or not!

If not then series 8 is looking good

hmm i will be frank...

u will need to push the 30R over 1.5 bar boost to see real benefits from this turbo.. That will work but for how long, youll smash the engine to bits...

You are better to get a 207 and do some headwork if ur going to go down this path. Do it right the first time round imo..

Saying you have x amount of power is just wank imo, unless u can hold it together..

But a 30R will be a good combo for a 2.0ltr will give max boost around 5500 rpm so you need headwork valves, retainers etc to be able to use it to around 8500 rpm..

Do a 207 / Heads before you look at bigger turbo.

You already have an STi VF turbo? 207, FMIC, Ported heads and lots of boost should see close to 300HP, if thats still not enough then you can look at a bigger turbo?
Instead of doing it the other way round.

isnt there an AVO equivalent 450 or 500 that can push 350 mark?

do the supporting mods first before the turbo as what all the others said.

lots of the silvia guys have the 2871r which make 300hp even more on Sr20 motors, not too sure if that can help being rwd and all

Speaking from experience it seems.

hey guys, i have a Genuine internally gated GT3071r with the small turbine housing on my s13 sr20det, still on run in tune, all supporrting mods, internals, head work. and is making 10psi easily by the time it hits the 4000rpm limiter set by Power-FC. Grate turbo. i really like it.
