Default oil in my intercooler?

Need some advice, my 04 xt foz is puffing black smoke and found
oil in my intyercooler. Can anyone tell me what might have happened?

sounds like the seals need replacing

BALISTC knows their stuff

Black/brown smoke = rich.

If its bluish then you have problems.

Oil in intercooler means you are getting blow-by, you probably need an oil catch can.

on my old STi the turbo seal had gone and thats when i noticed the intercooler piping and core had little areas of oil on it. replaced the turbo and all was fine?

Black smoke means its just runing rich as balistic has said

the oil in your cooler how much is there is it just a thin film of it??

If so dont worry about it its normal

Black smoke = excess fuel

Oil in cooler & intake = normal of a street car, UNLESS you have a catch can!

normal thing as long as it aint a lot, try an get a catch can, if still heaps, time for a turbo and bottom end rebuild. only if its alot.
