Default Odyssey batterys

Just curious has anyone here ran any odyssey batterys? specifically the smaller pc680 model? any issues that you have had with the battery, and what are they like at cranking a wrx?

They have a CCA rating of about 220, but will crank initially at about 560 (from memory) and then drops pretty quickly after that. Not suitable for cars with constant dischagre (ie: alarms, clocks, stereos etc.) they are nice and light, but being a metal jacket type battery they require a voltage regulated switch-mode charger...like a multi stage charger, if they run flat. They run flat pretty quickly if left in the car unused for a few days, and need a decent charger to charge them. Definately no good if you have a big stereo....

Cheers

I run one in my rally car but that might go for three months without even being turned over so it has a ctek charger hooked up. Obviously I have no alarm / stereo etc to put some constant strain on it.

Never missed a beat with me.

Cheers
