My newly aquired 2001 buy eye is starting to piss me off!..

2nd gear to 3rd...goes like the wind...the car has amazing grunt until about 180 kms/hr, and THEN its starts to sort of die out...apart from forged pistons and a 3 " turbo back exhaust , and standard boost, the car is pretty much stock ..and most of my buddies (with skylines) say that most stock performance cars have "similar" perfomance at the top end (wft?)...However, i had a 97 classic GC8 before, the car had 230000 on the clock, woobly as hell, most of the sychros gone, ect, and would have cost me about 7K to fix ..and was every bit stock,stock every thing including the exhaust but the power was ridiculous compared to the buyeye, ...200kms/hr and it STILL wanted to go!...
I read somewhere that GC8 models(1997-1999) produce 205.9 kW with 276.2 bhp while the bugeye versions around 184kW?....are these facts correct or should i get my head checked, coz if they are, am going back to my good old trusty GC8 models.....sad!... very sad
