Common application for T04e
A mate of mine found a turbo in his shed that he forgot he had.
I've gone to have a look at it, and from what i can make, it appears to be a Garrett T04E. It has a dual entry 1.00 turbine housing and a .60 compressor housing. The entry of the compressor is about 2.5 inches. Does anyone know much about these and what they're good to be used on? Ie, suited for a 3 litre with good spool and 350HP, laggy for a 1.5L but will make 800HP type crap, yada yada yada. Thanks.

"The only saving grace of the t04e is that you can chuck a 360 degree thrust bearing in it and a 66mm front wheel and make some MAMOUTH power with it. You can also then fit the bellmouthed gt35r 0.70 comp cover on it also." Taken from Calaisturbo.com
They also reckon to just go the gt35r as its newer technology. This turbo was designed in the 80's.

my friend had one of these on his rb20 r32, made 330 on 20 pound, bit laggy for a 2L but most things are on a RB20 due to there lack of tourque off boost. also the unit was externally gated and it pulled all the way to 8,000rpm no dramas
