Question Single 18 x 8 PCD 5x100 Single rim to clear Brembos

Gday all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm considering buying a set of Enkeis BUT really don't want to fork out well over $600 for a spare Enkei to make a set of five.

Could anyone tell me of a CHEAP 18 x 8 PCD 5x100 with the same offset as the Enkei to use as a spare? Or does anyone have one? I am , some day, hoping to get Brembos and do a fair amount of country driving so I don't want to get caught out with a flat and the current GTB rims will not clear Brembos (assuming I have them). I guess the only other reason to buy the spare tyre Enkei is to have a spare rim if I completely curb kill one of the Enkeis.

If anyone has any suggestions I be very happy to hear them.

Thanks in advance.

PS - Yes I am aware that Enkei's are normally 18x7.5 BUT these ones are a JDM import.

buy 5 rims and be done with it mate, your current rims will not clear brembos for certain. If you aren't getting brembos straight away then dont bother buying a 5th rim

Stock rims should clear the rear brembos wont they? Then just change the good one onto the front and have the spare on the back?

Can anyone confirm that the stock 18" rims clear a Brembo on the rear? I mean have actually had the rim on a car with Brembos OR would anyone care to let me test? Dave??? Jimmy???

Look in the end I rather have the $s for new rubber not a good looking rim in the boot.

Andrew the rear isnt the problem. 18s should fit no worries. I know that 16inch WRX rims wont fit on the rear..

just get a normal rim and if you pop a front, put the rear on the front and the normal rim on the back
