Default ALK and treads

hey guys.

im looking at the whiteline anti-lift kit. just wondering if others have these and what they thought of them. and if they would help your 1/4 mile time?
also what budget should i be looking at, i would be getting it pro installed.
pretty much just after general info about them.

next. i've got TOYO proxes rated at 50 psi. i've got about 40psi in them.
for 1/4 events what pressure should i have. i see people deflating but they just going by guess. what the best for teaction but not to flat.

thanks.

Hey mate,

The ALK will not help your 1/4 mile time at all. The ALK is designed to give you more caster and it does not actually prevent front lift. Caster is good for handling, not straight line accerlation.

I have it on my car and it did help a little but be aware that your NVH will be higher.

Hope that helps a little,

Darren

with ALK, you won't feel too much of a difference on MY01+ models because subaru improved it quite a bit since gc8.

i have the perrin ALK on and didn't improve my 1/4 mile time at all, but comes in handy when you have to break hard because you saw the cops car travelling in the opposite direction while speeding. your nose don't dive as much so it's not too obvious to them that you hit the brake

How does an ALK reduce nose dive?

if it prevents lift when taking off, shouldn't it prevent nose dive when braking? i know the front suspension probably has more to do with that, but i think ALK helps too.

A paper released by Whiteline actually says there is actually more pronounced nose-dive under braking with the ALK although most drivers won't feel it as the effects are pretty negligible.
