Default Master cylinder brake stopper

Hey guys,

anyone had expierence with using these? Great benefit under hard braking??

Ive just had a look at the cusco one and it seems it mounts to the strut tower. Ive removed all of those mounting locations so will probaly need to find an alternative, But looking from the picture there dosent seem to be one?

custom bracket off the drivers side of your strut brace, i believe some of the cusco strut braces have one built in like that

I had the cusco brake stopper on the Lib, bolted on to car not strut bar. In theory it should make a difference but not sure how much really.

Yeh thats what i want to know Davo, if it really does add much stiffness to the brake feel then i wont bother investigating further..

well it made some difference to mine for sure but how much, well maybe 10%. Changing out the stock rotors and pads made a hell of lot more difference plus some good brake, fresh brake fluid. You got braided brake lines already right?

I wouldnt bother Tino. With the bigger rotors, pads and calipers you will be fine.

There's a pic of one in this thread...

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/mechanicals/34398-what-these-hoses.html

I have one but it's difficult to quantify its effectiveness, though I guess all little things add up. Let's say you don't put one on and think "wow that's a much better pedal feel"...

I have one on my car Tino since day dot. The theory is definately there, if you stand with your head in the engine bay and get someone to kick the brake pedal you can see the flex involved. I have the Cusco one installed and have tightened it up like a mofo, and the bracket itself still flexes. I'm unsure of what % difference it makes as I've always had it plus the braided lines and brakes etc, I'm sure it reduces the overal flex but certainly doesn't eliminate it. I would be looking at getting one custom made to fit your engine bay and getting it made more solid than the Cusco one. Its now on my list of things to re-do.
