those stores arent too crash hot, alot of them carry the same toy racer gear - look for the stores with the garages, they usually do bigger end parts, not Type R badges and generic stickers and windscreen stickers

Does anyone have opinions on where the best place to get certain parts is?

I thought eletronics such as turbo timers are best to source from Hong Kong since the city is great for electronics.

When are you going out to KL? If I'm in town I can bring you around.

I am off to KL for the F1 as well. Is there any problems with counterfeit gear in KL. I read the alert from APEXI re fake turbo timers and I am just wondering whether I need be concerned.

Counterfiet products can be a problem in Malaysia. Like you said counterfeit Apexi as well as other products (e.g. Exedy clutches) gets into the market quite often. You just have to shop at the right places.

One thing to keep in mind is that shops which sells a whole lot of stickers and small accessories (perfume, cheapo gear knobs etc.) are VERY likely to sell counterfeit products (timers, meters etc.).

If you are looking for Subaru specific parts however, its not that easy to find a place which sells them off the shelf. Timers and meters are readily available (meters especially as people tend to stay away from them as there's been gang related thefts of meters etc. lately).

A few shops that should stock Subaru parts are SS Racing, Wangan, Links Dynotune and KSP Power.

I am mainly looking at getting a APEXI avcr.Any thoughts on a reputable supplier of these.
