Default rattling after a detail

Decided to give the engine-bay a detail today - pressure hose with degreaser... then restored the colour in all the plastics. Pulling the car up in the drive-way i noticed a high rattle when accellerating. Thought this might be because the engine was a little wet, etc.

Took the car out tonight down the freeway to the city and everytime i'd accellerate from a stationary position she'd shake and the 100km drive wasn't smooth either.

Possible diagnosis please...

do you still have the standard airbox? if you have a pod it may have ingested some water...wise to cover the intake and battery in plastic bags or something just as a precaution!

What kind of rattling? Any chance of making a recording and posting it up?

i just took a quick recording but wasn't able to pick up the noise and the vibrations. Started her up today and took her for a drive.. not as bad as yesterday but still can feel the shudders, shakes and vibrations when accellerating in either 1st or 2nd gear at about 1000rpm-2500rpms. could this possible be that i've somehow wet a spark plug maybe?

During the big hail storm, I got my engine bay massively wet (aka puddle hunting in the old 4wd) and it was really rough and rattly for about 4 days.
Eventually went away. Could be something similar, just needs a few days to dry...

That's what i'm hoping. May sound stupid but i've even left the bonnet open and left her under the sun fingers crossed that eventually she'll return back to her usual self
