Check engine light.. Again

On the way to work speedo dropped off. Cel popped up. Drove about 30kms and hasnt sorted itself. Car has given itself a 4500rpm revlimit.
Anyone know what voltages/resistances should be on the speedo wires? Going to start there and see how i go.
