Default vf35 turbo rebuild?

i have a damaged vf35 and i was wondering can you buy a re-build kit from anywhere? also heard they are a throw away turbo!!!

the damage is to the input shaft and blades....

maybe take it to turbotech or somewhere and see what they would charge

yeh i spoke to turbotech and they said throw it away.. seems weird.. also sourced the turbo re-build kit.. i might just look at a different option......

I think Turbotech have mistaken the VF35 as a ballbearing turbo which it isn't.

Plain bearing as it is it should be as rebuildable as any TD turbo.

Did they say what the problem with your turbo was. If it was the wheel,shaft,housing etc that was damaged then maybe parts aren't available, or price of parts make it not worth repairing.

its just the impellar shaft is damaged... no housing damage, just bits of plastic got sucked in to the turbo and damaged it.... i think it should beable to re-build.!!

is it worth the risk?
whats the difference in price of the rebuild kit + labour as opposed to the second hand one mentioned earlier for sale on here or a new one?
