I did, but stock location is pretty restrictive. I withdraw my "kit" and replace it with "set-up".

If you go down this path then you will need to factor in a new Ecu as I beleive a flash will not run anything that's not direct bolt on. I couldn't find any info on your car as to whether or not you had a stand alone Ecu.

that sounds better! Have you got a build thread going? You must be chasing some hp to bothr with rotated mount. What are your plans for the car? What power levels you chasing? etc etc

+ 1... the stock ECU tends not to work effectively with a rotated mount setup.

I would think very long and hard about getting a rotated setup, as its going to be a lot more customisation and for what? Unless you are looking to break records and/or push the limit I reckon you're far better off going for a bolt on replacement and spending the left over cash on more supporting mods!

So has anyone heard of turbometrics? these turbos are dirt cheap i thought the kinugawa were bottom of the barrel but apperently not, The guys in America seem to talk about getting good results with both kinugawa and turbometrics, they must be easy to please or we're hard to please?

Most "cheap" turbos don't have a Ball-Bearing option (BB is worth every $$$) or if they do it brings them back into line with most quality brand 2nd hand turbos.

I have heard the Kinugawa turbos dont have any issues, they just deliver low preformance compared to the same turbo of a better brand.

I've got a Kinugawa TD06/20g on my car, never had any issue's with it. COmes on hard at 4000rpm. Its been on there for at least 30000k's, Can't say exact power figures as yet. Need to find time to get it on a dyno.

To say they're a cheap turbo when they only cost about 200 less then a brand name is a bit off the mark.
I'm impressed with the quality

Thats great to hear you've had a good experience with the kinugawa, as I have been thinking about buying one myself. I thought they were more like $500 cheaper. On the Blouch website I can buy a TD0518g for $1300 and on eBay I can get a Kinugawa for $800
