Default Dyno Plots for before and after headers

Hi all,

Does anyone have any dyno plots (or even numbers) of before and after installing headers?

Basically looking to see what the actual gain of headers alone is.

If you do post it up along with the brand and if they are equal/unequal.

Did he not gain response though? Un-equal length headers from memory too.

Thanks Bruce, good info.

So basically a drop in power but a gain of 40Nm of torque.

Anyone with a 2L?

John,

Worth it. Especially for the price of the gt-spec or 'Kando copies' (or whatever they're called), if you're budget concious. (My jet coated ones from Troy were only a handful of greens). And didnt need flange machining at all.

They only thing I didnt (initially) like about them, (and its a IMHO thing), was the 'raspiness' returned... That said, I grew to like it, and from all reports of those who had driven around me prior to dak dak dok... It sounds mean.

Brent.

i don't have before and after graphs but the response on my old 205 engine with vf22 was definitely improved, boost came on earlier, felt better off boost too, i had eq-length xs power headers & 3" x-force TBE

Also, if anyone has performance times (drag/track) that would be even better.

My basic thoughts are that they will help create torque no doubt, but as a budget concious enthusiast (hah) will $1k on headers ($600 headers, $300 ceramic coating, sump etc) be better spend on something else?

$1k is a lot of seat time!

I think spending $1k on E85 conversion would be better.
