Default Cleaning Process Sump - Big End Shredding

Greetings.

As you know I'm in the process of getting my shit together and one thing I want to be absolutely sure of is that I make sure I get as much of the metallic bits and pieces out of the sump as possible.

So far what I've done:

- Washed the sump out with degreaser to get residual oil out;
- Washed with thinners (spray thinners);
- Washed with Petrol;
- Washed with Prepsol (wax and grease remover);
- Washed with Industrial spray and wipe;
(note all the above was rinsed out with high pressure hose in between applications)
- Rewashed with Petrol;
- Rewashed with thinners;
- Rewashed with Prepsol; and once dry
- Blast it with airline hooked up to an industrial generator.

Problem is (well in my opinion), you don't have much visibility into the bottom of the sump and there are many layers(?), to the sump itself so you can't really see if you have removed everything 'if particles get stuck between the layers etc'.

Ensuring I be as OCD about this as possible, what other methods are people using 'antistatic cleaning solutions(?)'.

Cheers,

Dude,

Why did you not just buy a new sump? If I recall, they're like 80 or 90 bucks new.

Thats what I did.. quick, cheap and easy!

Thought never crossed my mind as I didn't think it was going to be 'anywhere near', under $100 for a new one.

Cheers,
