Default Whichs mods to do before ECU

Hi all,

Just interested to hear suggestions of what power mods I could do next prior to install of ECU. I have a 98 wrx with RMS 3" TBE, CAI to K&N panel filter.

Have a Link which has been sitting around at home for over a year now. Want to do a few more cheap mods (on tight budget now as I've just bought a house) before getting the Link installed and tuned.

Thinking of:

Silicone Y pipe
Waterspray for TMIC (stock TMIC or 01 TMIC I aso have)
NRG splitter
Fuel pump
(cheap larger TMIC?)
Install and tune Link

Anything else worth doing? Budget only $1500-2000. Might look to upgrade IC (larger better quality), turbo, injectors, clutch in 1+ year but cannot budget it at the moment. Sick of having the Link sitting around, keen to get it in and see how it goes. Street driving only, just after a bi more fun off the lights.

Note: Already done basic suspension mods - swaybars with HD links and upgraded brake pads/discs.

Cheers
Rich

If you have a budget of $1500-$2000 and have the link sitting around, spend the ~$600 and get it installed!

The rest can come afterwards.

yeah. go the link first, then spend the rest on tmic or turbo. u got most of the mods done anyway. was gonna suggest suspension but u got swaybars so should be good enough. how about anti lift kits?

Go with brakes and suspension. I know its not power mods BUT whats the point of going faster if you cant stop or turn around quickly?

Have NFI about prices these days but surely you could get some good rotors and pads and be left with change?

Cheers for the advice guys.

Matt, already done basic suspension/brake mods, I know more can be done, but ok for the street...better than stocko.

Olite, have heard mixed reports on ALK, so not looking at doing it yet but might in the future.

Been looking into this yesterday while at work (...its not as busy here as NJO was Pete!).

Plan of action is as follows (completion date mid April):

NRG splitter $80
Silicone Y pipe kit $200-280 off rexnet traders
Waterspray - bit DIY bit proffessional $150
Larger TMIC $250 s/h or $650 off rexnet
Tune Link $600 approx
=$1280-1760. Cheaper for s/h parts if they come up.

Fuel pump if tuning shows its required.

Then next year........turbo, injectors, silcone intake, retune, wheels.
