I also noticed the clutch felt strange, it wasn't as smooth as usual. This was a result of the IC spray as well! Although today after i sprayed, it felt strange again.

Anyways, the noise is gone and it's all good. He did however, say that with my modifications, it'd be hard to get anything on warranty. This was just a simple re-lube, but anything else, i'd have no chance. Apparently someone else he knew had some basic mods on their car, and the gearbox went. It was not replaced under warranty.
But hey, anyone who mods a new car takes that risk. I think i'll just slow down a bit...
good to hear huy, leigh and the RMS boys are great mechanics.

Sure is.

It's got some goodies: STi lip, interior, rims, sleek and classy look. Should've given it some Brembos though!
Great car, they offered $69K driveaway.

diff noise,

I'm new to the 6 speed world, my DCCD is not auto, I get it in the front when turning full lock slowly...sounds like a toyota work ute when in low 4 but not as bad, not from cv's...can feel it through the steering wheel a bit, just seems to bind up...

I'm tipping it's my new found diff lurve!!!!

I've given it a bit of a hiding and if anything was going to break it would have by now hehe!!

If your waterspray has been "spraying everywhere"??? and your "clutch feels funny" ??? there is a chance that your thrust bearing is on the way out...this is not an unusual side effect from long term i/c waterspray use ( excess water can drip onto the bell housing and find its way in... apparently... it happened on my 02 STi). May be worth getting it checked while still under warranty.

Mother decide on the purchase, Father purchase the car, Son drive the car.
Hierarchy of the family.
