I've seen a demonstration carried out where the wastegate was disconnected to see what boost the TD04 would generate if uncontrolled, result 29psi. Bypass valve was fine at that pressure.
My car was at 23psi with stock, no probs.

The stock turbo runs at 1bar using stock bov, it will be fine
Im at 1.6bars no probs, was running 1.4bars with no bov for hectick dose bro but didnt work too well compared to mates 180sx so changed it back

Grub screw in the bypass hole at the back of your GD BOV. Smash in 30+ psi.

UNLIMITED POWAHZZZZZ!!!!

Yep, I sold my HKS SSQV and went back to a stock BOV with grub screw mod.. no worries on 24 psi!
