mechanical oil pressure gauge? you've been punked
turf it an buy an electrical one that works with a sender unit. personally i wouldn't want hot oil piped conveniently into the cabin next to my face

i bought and still have an electronic oil pressure gauge (autometer). but was told by psi that i cant use an electric one because you cant fit the sender under the alternator and also it only goes to 100psi, and according to them stock sti run about 100 psi. so i went out n bought a mechanical one that goes to 200 psi, been waiting for months for it to be installed, decided just to get some one here to do it for me rather than having to wait another month. i know im not cool with the idea either.

u can only get permit for the electrical one too. and i agree with jester, i don't like the idea of having hot oil piped into the cabin centimetres from my face or any other body parts. i'm pretty sure i've seen a number of STis with electrical gauges though...

Obviously electrical is better but if you use GOOD QUALITY fittings and hoses (NOT that shitty stuff autometer et al sell) you shouldnt have any problems with leaking oil...

MANY people dont have any problems, provided the hoses and fittings are good.

BTW never buy Chee 151 or it'll end up in the garden 1 shot later
