Mainly to get a little more precision out of the steering. Have read in a few places it's quite a decent mod for the cost.

Plenty of better mods for that sort of thing. Have you had swaybars installed? Lowered the car without a roll center adjuster? Propper alignment?

Whiteline sways, ALK. Cusco zero 2's. No roll centre kit (going in on tuesday). Couple of upgraded bushings. Haven't inspected the links but the previous owner said they were upgraded. I'm thinking they prolly haven't.

Reasonably aggressive allignment from wheels world. Horrid tyres

pretty certain the knuckle won't make any difference, a quick rack will though, unsure what model has less lock to lock turns though, burke [xt43]knows this i'm sure

Have you got the links to where you saw that it would help with steering?

+1. Spec C is the best but probably not worth it as they're harder to come by and a lot more $$$
Part numbers if you're keen

Aus Spec WRX rack: part # 34110FE130 (16:1)
Aus spec STi rack: part # 34110 FE510 (15:1)
JDM Spec C rack: part # 34110FE440 (13:1)

You'll have to get and STi rack of the same year or less GD as yours cos I'm pretty sure they changed the mounting positions from 05 onwards which apparently can be changed but only after a fair bit of fucking around.

Spec C rack may be the go if I can source one. Any one bringing these in regularly? Curious if the bushing mounts will change with the spec C rack also?
