Default VF37 on EJ25?

Did a search both here and on rexnet but can't seem to find a lot of info!

Would a vf37 flow enough gas to make power on a 2.5L? if not is there a twin scroll IHI turbo that is more suited to a 2.5?

Only want to make 300hp atw but i want mega spool!

Brew did it. Dont think he got that much power though! Better suited to the 2.0L. Go one of those twinscroll billet wheeled turbos.

Thanks mate i just checked that out, seems like i make alot more power now!

I also noted that it only made approx 100hp at 3000rpm, i thought it would be much higher and then run out of puff being 2.5l with a small huffer?

VF36/37s are too small for a 2.5 IMO. If it was purely for motkhana / very tight stuff it would work, but they do tend to run our of breath quite early.

I have gone for the GT pumps td05 twinscroll which is just about the right size. It made 313hp on 18PSi but it still comes on a little bit late for my likings and for the hype about twin scolls.

I'm keen to see results from the prospeed versions, but the test pilots so far all seem to be in the middle of a long term build. Otherwise, if you can source a VF42 at non crack pipe prices do it!

I know this will seem stupid but they make to much power and there doesn't seem to be any info on spool time for a 2.5 as yet!

how hard can it be to find a turbo for a 2.5l that makes 300 ish hp (and 420+nm) and starts making power under 3000rpm?

what about the hks twin entry jobbie? it uses all the twinscroll headers and dump but is essentially twin entry, not twin scroll, jeff (type25) has one of these on his 2.5

Yeah but you wouldn't think it would be that hard on a 2.5l to have minimal spool!
