Default TMIC damaged?

see this grey stuff in the corner, a few people have suggested to me that this may be a leak.

True/False? and is it going to adversely effect peformance much?

Also, how good are the 05 sti 06 sti TMIC these days? especially the 06 one, it has a-lot of surface area and may be as good as most aftermarket TMIC's?

Wonder what a TMIc from an sti is worth? I would probably be keen foe an 06 sti one but they dont come up that much yet..(any 06 people out there going a FMIC??)

I have exactly the same problem mate, and I believe it is a leak. However it would be relatively small. I'm looking at fixing it too..

Anything more than a few hundred isn't worth it....

Should be able to get it pressure tested & repaired at any radiator shop that does alloy repairs.

We use browns radiators in beckenham for our aluminium radiator repairs at work. The place looks hell dodgy but they are nice guys, cheap and will turn it around real quick.

Hope it helps

New STI cooler is in the vacinity of $2000 incl y pipe from Subaru.

I had this price quoted from 2 dealerships and after I got up off the floor, I told the guy I could buy a shit hot frontmount and get a retune and change.
