Hey just wanting to get a few quotes on new motors
and me being new to the wrx scene dont know of many.

So anyone that can give me a few good places let me know please???

new motor will cost u about 2.5k for the short block, a second hand one anywhere from 600 to 1000.

fitting a short motor u will need to budget around 1k all up.

phone the usual places. RMS, WOK, MMS for supply and install, or darren in wangara , wreckers or subaru for supply.

Japanese wholesale in wangara, speak to Darren when he gets back from Canberra later this week it will be the cheapest by far I would suggest

Yep get a factory prepped short motor ie EJ207 from either subaru direct, regent subaru in Osb Park or Jap wholesale on a low k motor. Dont bother getting anything 'built' in perth as no retail workshop is capable.

ah ok cool.

would it not be better to just get a whole motor n turbo?
ive got a bottom end knock with metal thru the oil n the turbo pushing oil thru the intercooler into the motor

Prolly looking at about $3,000 for a complete motor from Darren 0418559267 but you'll have plenty of spares or bits left over to sell, they will also fit it for you if you want, there are a couple of very competent guys out the back who do this sort of work all day long, Geoff in particular, if you ring them direct DO NOT speak to Murray.... he is the biggest oxygen thief on earth & will rip you off at any oportunity he can.

jap wholesale in wangara for sure

few months back i got an 03 wrx jap test motor fitted for $3500

if darren not there speak to alan, he sort you out
