Ej20 / Ej205 crank trigger
Hi
In the process of putting my 205 heads etc onto the ej20 short motor i purchased to replace my busted block, i noticed the 2 crank trigger gears are slightly different in the position the flat section passes the sensor. Im guessing this affects timing or something so wondering which one to install? I would guess use the one that came off my ej205 motor? Anyone advice from someone who knows 100% would be appreciated as i wanna get driving this thing!! Cheers |

My advice would be to put the original trigger and sensor on the new motor, as thats what your ECU will be expecting to see.

as above, if you put the one on from the short motor you have purchased it won't run
