Default Temporary Brant bypass

My friends battery has died from lack of use and we need to get his car (B4 liberty) to subaru to have the brant reset now we have put a new battery in.

I had the same issue with my bugeye when I had it after changing the battery but cant remember what we did to get it going. It was a two person job, I just cant remember the sequence.

Otherwise he's up for a flat bed tow which wont be cheap. Can someone PM me the info?

Also the fuel has been sitting in his tank for around 3 months, will that need draining?

Let us know if this works
(1) Disconnect car battery negative terminal for 5 to 6 minutes
(2) Hold down 0 and # at the same time on the keypad and reconnect the battery whilst still holding down
(3) Release 0 and #
(4) Enter 0 four times on keypad
(5) The keypad is now reset to accept your PIN

PM sent.

Your car should start after this. On some systems, although it starts up, the siren will still activate. If this happens, let me know, will tell you what to do.

Just got skyman's car going.

Give me a buzz on 04213 87888 if you want yours to run. Will be glad to drop by and give you a helping hand. Have a good weekend, whatever that's left of it.

Bump this thread for semi-related Brant failure!

Is there a way to disable the Brant system temporarily so that it is totally bypassed/inactive? Is re-wiring necessary to achieve this?

Need to diagnose a fuel pump controller issue, with the Brant system being a possible culprit. Car is also too sketchy to drive any great distance (fuel cut).

Could try putting it into valet mode to prevent possible anti hijacking mode being activated.
