Hi Guys,

My car got broken into and my aircon unit no longer works. So no fan, lights any anything works. Tried replacing the fuse but made no difference. So basically where you turn on the aircon dial, temperature and fan speed nothing responds. So the fan does not start at all. thoughts? and recommended people i should ask?

Sorry about your mishap.

Did they break into the ignition or touch something electrical in there?
Did they pull any wires?

Even if you replace the fuse, the short causing the problem have to be fixed first, then you have to replace the fuse.

What did they do when they broke in to your car, did they try to steal the stereo? or? pictures would be helpful?

yeh they stole stereo so maybe have cut some wires to do with the aircon/heating dials. auto electrician should do it?

That's your problem, when they ripped it out, they most likely hit/cut a few air-con wires too, my bet would be the temperature sensor...get it into an auto-sparkey, they should be able to fix it, or take it to Subaru if it needs genuine air-con parts

yup the temp sensor is gone so i have it booked in for a service next week so maybe they be able to fix it as well?
