use a multimeter between any constant battery power source and the handbrake earth wire coming from the DCCD controller...
It should show 0V with the hand brake down and 12+V with the hand brake up. if you are not sure which wire it is. Trace it back from the hand brake switch. Remove the trim pieces over the hand brake. You'll see the switch beneath the hand brake pivot near the mounts.
