Default Turbo gone?

Hi, guys,
Something wired happened today. I was accelerating from a given way sign on tokin hwy today, just after rev reached 5000rpm(its a 100kph zone), some air leaking sound poped out the engine bay, sounds like it came from the turbo, but no power lost I stopped the car to chech it, there was no oil or any fluid near the engine, or at least near the upper part of engine. I decide to drive it home, every time rev
past 2500, that sound appears.

It has only done 45,000 kms, and no mods installed what so ever. I always over service it at subaru dealer, oil changed every 5000km using redline. Im gonna go to dealer to check it tomorrow , but I want to know what the problem could be?

THANKS

Boost leak?

Check wastegate, it could be getting stuck slightly open, fluttering?

Check that the BOV is tightened properly as well.

That's my 5 cents.

Sounds like a boost leak... Could be intercooler in/out or wastegate/bov leak as has been mentioned...

Doubtful it would be a blown turbo, you would see smoke pouring out the back!

Shouldn't cost much at all, any reputable workshop will be able to diagnose and address the situation.
