I have said intake. The metal "ring" should of come in the intake. Use 2 large hose or t clamps.

Regarding fitting it. Yes. It can be done with the intake manifold on, but, it is much quicker, simpler, easier, (see where im going with this), to lift it, slide old out, new in, bolt it back down, done.

as Brent said can be done with intake manifold on but you are guaranteed you will need to destroy you stock intake to get it out. Tried it when i did my car and ended up smashing mine to get it out with the help from Brent

sounds like im going to have a ball then , much involved in taking the manifold off? i had a look, few bolts, also will i need to replace any gaskets if i take it off?

if you are going to lift the manifold best you have new gaskets did not lift mine but had to break my stock intake pipe to get it out

this is great advice as im about to do mine also. i decided i was going to take the manifold off when i was thinking to install the pheolonic intake manifold spacers at the same time.

as for the gaskets, i think car mods do them but for much cheaper than the genuine product. i think it can also be available from grimspeed

Don't take manifold off. Lube upvand it'll slide in

Increase air flow
Increases spool of turbo
Less restrictive over standard inlet.

One of the cheapest and best mods to do
