Varex is only good if you want to shut it up at a certain spot. For instance, driving into your suburb. It will be loud as normally, so not ideal if you want a quietish car for kids etc. I think they are a brilliant idea for people who want both options, but I wouldn't be tracking it with the valve closed on a custom tuned car.

Russ, you can clean the carbon off and they work again or contact Xforce if it stops working.

on the exhaust i bought, dylan spec it comes with a removable silincer. not sure if exhausts like ultrex comes with one. i have never tried it with the silencer as i cbs putting it on

Ive just found an answer to my question about the silicone intercooler piping, printed out the asiperformance pipe kit picture off ebay for the 99 Wrx and matched them on my car, it looks like a perfect fit well thats one thing I got right so far

the haltech intercepter is pretty quick and easy to tune, in total it was on the dyno for around 2.5hrs

but yeah, once i have done the next few mods I do plan to get it on a 4wd dyno and check the important stuff again, wheres a 4wd dyno that can tune haltechs?

Aaron @ Intune performance does Haltechs. He uses the Xspeed 4wd dyno

just out of interest, what can a stock gt foz clutch handle power wise? I bought my GT stock at 150 000km, it was right down on power when I bought it due to the leaking BOV trick,drove it home to Bunbury from Perth and got whooped by a lancer
(who knows how long the original owner drove it like that), but guess its still the original clutch?
