water cooled
hey, my mate was telling me the other day he was intending on buying an intercooler that sits in your boot and is cooled by water or something. Just wanted to know what you thought of these like wether they work or are just shit.

The Tenagah WRX runs this set up. Was at REXPO display last year. I'm not sure if its being officially on the track yet.

The old RS Liberties used a water/air intercooler
Some Porsche actually use this set up (water/air IC) - I saw this today at one of the Porche specialist workshop in Melb (along with the RedBull Team's F1 Machine, nice) |

i dun think watercooled intercooler would sit in the boot, maybe just the water tank, else the air will have to travel from turbo, all the way back to the boot cools it and allllllll the way back to the front again b4 the engine get to use it.
yea, i've seen tenagah's watercooled setup, looks kinda cool. watercooler intercooler is very effective, as water can absorb lotsa heat. however you need to have a water cooler somewhere to cool that water. |

Yes, the water tank sits in the boot, and the actual IC is where the turbo is, ie next to it.
